Widening Horizons - April 2025 Workshops

We were delighted to welcome into Kendrick school students from Primary School Years 3 -6 who are participating in our Widening Horizons programme. The students, supported by some of our older Kendrick students, took part in exciting workshops led by our staff.
Years 3 & 4 enjoyed a dance workshop in our dance studio whilst the Year 6 students worked on a maths quiz.
Year 5 students continued with their Book Club led by our Head of English, Mr Dilley, and wrote some lovely reviews of the books they had read and then chose another book to take away and read.
All the students were very engaged and attentive at the workshops, whilst their parents enjoyed refreshments with some of our Widening Horizons staff.
This event was part of our Widening Horizons project, which aims to work with children and local primary schools to raise the aspirations of local children. Kendrick School has the highest gold award from The Sutton Trust, having been recognised for the multiple systems we have in place to support access for children eligible for pupil premium funding within our Widening Horizons project.
