Outreach Kindness Workshop

Last week we were delighted to welcome Year 4 students and staff from Katesgrove Primary School, Christ the King Primary School and Redlands Primary School to Kendrick School.

The students, along with many of our Year 10 students, took part in a wonderful kindness activity from 52Lives, a local charity that aims to change someone's life every week of the year.

A presentation to the students explained how important it is to inspire people to be kind, stressing the importance that kindness has the power to change lives and change the world, while improving our own well-being at the same time.

All the students were very interested, and enjoyed creating a thank-you item, supported by our students, in a lovely craft session after the presentation. Everyone went home feeling uplifted with kindness at the front of their minds.

This initiative was part of our Widening Horizons project which aims to work with local primary schools to raise the aspirations of local children. For more information on Widening Horizons please visit our website.
