Students at Kendrick school achieved 12 Gold, 41 Silver and 51 Bronze certificates in this year’s UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. Well done to everyone who took part.
Following this challenge 14 students qualified for the Senior Kangaroo Challenge. Narissa Leaver and Kitty Gingell earned a certificate of merit in this round.
In addition, two students Mia Le Fleming and Jana Scholey qualified for the British Mathematical Olympiad round 1. They tackled a three and a half hour paper of very demanding questions requiring a formal proof as a solution to each question.
Earlier on in the term, 8 students from year 12 and 13 took part in the Mathematical Olympiad for Girls. Three students, Julie Ann Ah-Kee, Mia Le Fleming and Jackie Rao achieved certificates of distinction.
