Every year our Year 9 students go on a Multi Activity Adventure week and we have been doing this for well over 20 years.
“You get to experience activities you have never done before”
“I learned never to give up”
” Learning to be more confident in my abilities made me believe in myself more and gave me higher self esteem”
The main aims of this trip are to give the students the opportunity to try Outward Bound activities, which the PE curriculum states. They include climbing, abseiling, high ropes, rifle shooting and much more which are not given in normal PE lessons. The students gain an enormous amount from the trip not only from experiencing the activities themselves but in learning how to meet challenges, conquer fears and work together to ensure all get to benefit from the experience. It is a good character building experience as they become more confident and learn more about their capabilities.
