Air Ambulance Concert 2026

On Friday 6th March, Kendrick School had the pleasure of hosting the annual interschool Air Ambulance charity concert alongside Reading School. Started in 2012 by Alicia Darrington after her brother Toby’s life was saved by the Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA) charity when he was involved in a cycling accident, she wanted to demonstrate her gratitude by raising money and awareness through a charity concert, which has evolved into one of the most important events of the year.
The concert continued into its 14th year, and after many weeks of rehearsals, (although we haven’t quite totalled the takings), we anticipate to have raised over £2,150!
The repertoire this year was drawn from a wide range of musical styles, ranging from reflective choral pieces to the spirited drama of our wonderful orchestra. Overall, it allowed the collaboration between schools to shine, and we are so proud to have been able to coordinate such a wonderful musical experience.
Our student team also organised a raffle, handled the lighting/sound system and took the initiative with advertising, embracing the opportunity to make this event the success that it was.
We wanted to say a massive thank you to all the students and staff who were involved: these concerts always involve an incredible amount of work by students from both schools, and to see the partnership that took place for such an important cause was a lovely experience!
