Zsofia left Kendrick in 2019 and then studied History at UCL, before completing a Masters degree in Law and training as a solicitor. She started writing Witchsong while completing her Masters degree, and we loved hearing her explain her journey to publication by Collective Ink. She explained how she was influenced by Hungarian folk tales she grew up hearing as well as studying Balkan history and the Austro-Hungarian monarchy as part of her degree.

Students from Years 7 to 13 were hugely inspired by hearing Zsofia's talk and were able to ask her lots of questions about her experiences as a writer. She also brought some free copies of Witchsong for pupils to read and share with each other. Many thanks to Zsofia for such a fascinating and illuminating visit! Copies of her novel are available to order here: https://www.collectiveinkbooks.com/ourstreet-books/our-books/witchsong
