Inter-House Reading Competition Results

We were very impressed with the number of students that took part in our first Inter- House Reading Competition this year. Collectively, over a thousand books were read! Well done to all those who took part and a huge thank you to the House Captains and Vice House Captains who collated the figures.

Cedars – 393 books, Palmer - 370 books and Sidmouth - 280 books

We are pleased to announce that this year the winners are Cedars having read 393 books from our list of 100 titles!  But don’t worry Palmer Llamas and Sidmouth Squids – next year might be your chance to shine in the book department!

Special mentions go to Niharika from Palmer, Lithumi and Ari from Cedars alongside Akshaya and Iris from Sidmouth for the HUGE number of books they read over the given time period. You are all amazing – well done!

At a small presentation in the library, Mr Duncan, Head of Enrichment & Wellbeing for the Sixth Form was delighted to present the House Reading Cup to Zainab, Cedars House Captain. Dr Smalley, Cedar’s House Leader, was also on hand to congratulate her House Captain on their success.

Following the success of this event and the student’s enthusiasm for reading, the library will soon be relaunching this inter-house competition for a longer period of time. Watch out for the new reading list!
