Visit to Houses of Parliament

On Thursday 5th July, a group of 15 students visited the Houses of Parliament at the invitation of Lord Borwick who visited Kendrick School as part of the Peers in Schools Programme earlier in the year.

Lord Borwick took the students on a tour of the Lords and the Commons and the students were able to sit in the gallery of the Commons and listen to a debate on business and apprenticeships. Lord Borwick kindly provided lunch which was eaten on the terrace! The trip finished by walking across to Parliament Square and seeing the recently erected statue of Millicent Fawcett, the suffrage leader. Altogether a super day!.
