Welcome to the final of our Online Performer Series concerts for 2020. Our students and staff have outdone themselves in these performances and we even have a special young guest, part of our extended Kendrick community, in our final item, so do watch until the end.
After the tragic death of George Floyd, students in Years 8 and 9 were asked to reflect on the Kendrick Pledge by creating an A5 poster to be stuck in the front of their PSHCE books as a constant reminder of our pledge.

The Corona-Library News recently ran a competition to name our beautiful crocheted reading doll. All editions of the library newsletter can be found in the Library section on the school website.
We are delighted to announce that one of our Year 11 students, Abi has been a selected as a winner in the national poetry completion, The Simon Powell Poetry Prize. Her winning poem is attached.
How should we decide which people from our past to commemorate?
There has been a great deal of discussion recently about monuments to Britain’s past, such as the names of buildings and streets, and especially statues. You are probably aware of the protests which resulted in the statue of Edward Colston being pulled down in Bristol, and others being damaged elsewhere. People have put forward strong views on both sides of this debate.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to record themselves and send in their performances for this Online Performer Series. We have been overwhelmed by the initial response to our call for videos for our first ever online concert and will therefore be putting our other entries into a series of future online concerts for you all to enjoy.
Kendrick School is proud to have been able to loan our 3D printer to aid with the production of almost 7,000 face shields, that were delivered to hospitals / medical facilities across Berkshire and further afield, helping frontline staff in these extraordinary times.
As part of PSHCE, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 were set a task of creating their own newsletters with upliting and 'feel good' stories that are happening in these strange and rather difficult times.
The Open Event for entry into Year 7 in September 2021 planned to take place on Thursday 30th April 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
