On Friday, 5th July, the Library celebrated the end of a wonderful year of bookish events at our Book Club.
This week we have celebrated Manasivini's birthday, enjoying a lovely sunny picnic , which was provided by her parents, family and friends.
On Friday 21st June, Reading School Year 12 students came to Kendrick for a collaborative seminar on our A Level English Literature texts: 'Paradise Lost' and 'Hamlet'.
On Monday 27th June, Year 10 GCSE Latin and English students took a trip to Bath in Somerset. The purpose of the trip was threefold.
On Monday 24th June Year 10 took an exciting trip to the Roman Baths in Bath to learn about ancient life in the Roman Empire. The baths were fascinating, and the trip was a lot of fun!
Some Year 9 students will be performing in ‘When They Go Low’ at the Progress Theatre from 2nd – 6th July
TED-Ed club is my initiative to help Kendrick students improve their confidence and public speaking skills. I began this club as I am very passionate about sharing theories, thoughts and ideas, learning new skills and building my own and others' confidence. This club allows students to explore knowledge and discover interests outside of regular lessons in school.
Our Sports Presentation afternoon was held on Wednesday 12th June, It is a celebration of school sport and sporting achievements here at Kendrick.
On Wednesday June 5th, Year 8 students enjoyed an afternoon of drama and journalism. Groups of students performed playlets they had created and developed in Drama lessons, inspired by the sinking of the Titanic.
Last term Maya won the Berkshire Young Musician of the Year competition.
