Our Sports Presentation afternoon was held on Wednesday 12th June, It is a celebration of school sport and sporting achievements here at Kendrick.
On Wednesday June 5th, Year 8 students enjoyed an afternoon of drama and journalism. Groups of students performed playlets they had created and developed in Drama lessons, inspired by the sinking of the Titanic.
Last term Maya won the Berkshire Young Musician of the Year competition.
A typical Thursday morning scene as teachers in high vis, shepherd students across town on a school trip. Except that these students are 16-17 year old maths students on their way to the Maths Inspiration talk at the Hexagon, Reading. On Thursday 21st March they were entertained for 3.5 hours by some great mathematical figures, talking (and inspiring) on a range of topics from computing to crowd control.
So many beautiful things have been done to remember and celebrate Manasvini’s life from the flowers that have been placed around the tree to the messages that students and staff have written in cards, on pieces of paper, as well as a condolences book. We are making sure that everything we have about Manasvini will be gathered together and given to her parents in due course.
From the 25th - 29th March, Amnesty Society ran ‘Human Rights Week’ to express how we as a Kendrick community can use our voice to take a stand against prejudice and discrimination.
Year 13's trip to Oscar Wilde's 'An Ideal Husband'
Manasvini Kaushik, a Year 8 student at Kendrick School, died suddenly and unexpectedly on the evening of Tuesday 26th March 2019.
Monday 11th March 2019 saw the culmination of months of hard work from over 60 students at Kendrick School, 14 other secondary schools and 31 primary schools in Berkshire, alongside students from Berkshire Young Voices (BYV), Berkshire Youth Choir (BYC) and Berkshire Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO), as they performed at the Royal Albert Hall.
