In 2011, a Thames Valley Air Ambulance saved the life of Toby Darrington, a Reading School student who had an accident whilst cycling on Oxford Road.
The following year, his sister Alicia started the Kendrick and Reading Schools' Air Ambulance Charity Concert and it has been thriving ever since.
Kendrick students from Y7 to Y13 got to show off their skills in all things dramatic at the 2019 House Drama Festival and Competition.
Most people feel a bit under the weather at 9:00 am on a Monday morning but, for the many space enthusiasts of Kendrick school, it was all sunshine and solar flares as Professor Clare Watt (from the University of Reading) gave us an eye-opening talk on the fascinating topic of Space Weather.
This morning the whole school gathered together for an assembly to mark Holocaust Memorial Day which is on Sunday 27th January.
The Broad Street, Reading branch of Waterstones hosted an event on 10 January 2019 ‘Ruby Wax: In Conversation’ and one of our librarians was lucky enough to secure a ticket and attend.
Our day of departure brought with it a great deal of excitement and anticipation for the week to come.
The afternoon of Monday 3rd December, as well as being inevitably rainy and rather cold, was host to two accomplished young women, well embedded within the academic field of Philosophy.
One of the greatest highlights of this time of the year is the Christmas Concert which was fantastic and packed with beautiful pieces from a number of ensembles and groups.
We have been busy raising money for great causes during our Year 8 and 9 Charity Week. The appointed Charity Representatives from each Year 8 and 9 Form, with the help of Miss Swaine, decided on supporting two charities: SportsAble and the Reading Refugee Support Group.
