Widening Horizons In School Event

We were delighted to welcome into Kendrick School some students from primary school Years 4 and 5 on our Widening Horizons Programme, who, supported by some of our older Kendrick students, took part in some exciting workshops.
Over 30 students and their families attended and Year 4 enjoyed a textiles session led by our Head of Textiles and embroidered some lovely samplers. The Year 5 Book Club continued with students learning about different types of literature from one of our sixth formers, and they were then able to borrow a reading book to take home.
Their parents enjoyed refreshments in our conservatory and were able to chat with some of our staff and enjoyed a visit from our Headteacher, Ms Kattirtzi.
It was a lovely session and our thanks to our wonderful staff and students who support these events!
Through our outreach work, we work with children and local primary schools to raise the aspirations of local children. For more information on Widening Horizons, please click here
