    • Girls' Chess Championship 2022-23

      On Sunday 9th October 2 teams of 3 girls from Kendrick competed in the Girls’ Chess Championship Tournament held at St Catherine’s School, Bramley.  Started in 2014, this tournament is a dynamic chess competition for young female players.  It was a national event where schools from all over the country came together and put their skills to the test.

Isn’t Law about justice and using the judiciary to ensure innocent people are defended whilst the perpetrators are locked up? On Wednesday 28th September, Lady Justice Andrews gave a talk on her journey into Law whilst answering some of these questions.

    • Biology Week 2022

      To celebrate the amazing world of the biosciences, the Biology Department put together a full schedule of activities to coincide with national Biology Week 2022. This year, our aim was to get as many students involved as possible and to embrace our enthusiasm for the subject. From crocheting red blood cells to Bio Bakes, moth identification and brain dissection, there was plenty to choose from!

    • Year 12 Waterside Orienteering Trip

      On Tuesday 4th October 2022, Year 12 students attended the Wokingham Waterside Centre as part of their Personal Development and Integration into the Sixth Form. The focus was on working as a team to complete the course and the tasks. Students were enabled to mix together and develop new friendships.

    • Year 7 House Chess 2022

      With nearly half of Year 7 choosing to participate in House Chess this year, we saw victories, losses and incredibly close draws, all from students eager to play chess in their first ever house event as part of Kendrick. Participants joined throughout the lunch break to get involved, some without any chess experience at all, providing competitive and tantalisingly close match ups.
