Chess Club Tournament 2021
Chess Club has thrived this term with players from every year from Year 7 to Year 12 taking part. The standard of play has been steadily improving, with more experienced players inspiring those new to the finer points of the game.
For the last five weeks of term a tournament has been played. This was won by Aashi, who has been a key organizer of Chess Club. She had some very close games, particularly with Kaya from Year 9, who was ‘Player of the Week’ for their excellent game. Also awarded Winner medals were Divija and Joanne, both from Year 7, who had several wins against players from across the year groups.
