Can You Judge a Book by its Cover?

Probably not, but you can judge, with great difficulty, the artistic and design efforts of Kendrick students in their entries to the recent book cover competition.

This competition called for new covers for classic children's literature.  We asked for covers which captured some of the flavour and content of the texts in imaginative or exciting ways.  The entries were very diverse and very effective and showed great thoughtfulness in their approaches to the chosen books.

The winners are as follows:

Upper School  First prize - Zara Khan;

Second prize - Bhavana Thummala

Lower School  First prize - Shruthi Lakshmanan, Second Prize - Zaynah Khan

Two highly commended awards are given to Medha Madhurya Madireddi and Samragee Dey.

Well done to all who entered.
