Young Economist Of The Year Award

On the 28th of April, I had the honour of attending the Young Economist of the Year Ireland Awards Ceremony at University College Dublin (UCD).

My entry "Inflation Strikes Back" was awarded a Gold medal and shortlisted in the Creativity category. I am thrilled to share that I was also awarded the overall International Award and trophy.

My project was a unique acrostic poem that demonstrated the impact of inflation in the form of a graph. During the ceremony, I was given the opportunity to present my background research and data to esteemed academics and politicians at UCD.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my Economics teachers, Mr. Wilson and Ms. Sammons, for their unwavering passion and encouragement in fostering my love for this incredible subject. My gratitude also goes out to Mrs. Dunlop for facilitating the submission of my entry.

Representing my school at an international level was an absolute privilege, and I was deeply inspired by the exceptional work of my Irish peers. I am so grateful for the support I received from Kendrick School in pursuing this incredible opportunity.
