Why I Love Science

Neha in Year 7, recently entered the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) School Science Prize competition, for which she had to write a short essay about ‘Why I love Science’.  Neha’s piece was so good that she was shortlisted for the final, which took place on Friday 8th December and for which she had to prepare an additional two-minute presentation.

Neha writes, ‘I went to the RAL and had the most wonderful time exploring the labs and participating in various activities involving static electricity, fossils, meteorites and more. The final part of the evening concluded this year's competition by announcing the winners and runners-up as well as finalist certificates. I didn't win or get a runner-up prize, but I am still so grateful for the opportunity I was given to explore one of the world's most amazing science labs'.
