Winter Poetry Competition

We were once again blown away by the range and quality of entries from students across the school into our Winter Poetry competition. Students wrote about many different aspects of winter, from snowflakes to Christmas lights, to winter wildlife.

Congratulations to all students who submitted poems!

The results are as follows:

Highly commended: Joanna (Year 11), Shruthali (Year 9), Aadya (Year 7) and Ananya (Year 7)

Runners-up: Gargi (Year 10), Neha (Year 9) and Emma (Year 7)

Winners: Mia (Year 7) and Usmi (Year 10)
You can read both the winning poems below.

The Poets’ Society has now launched this term’s House Poetry Competition. Students from each house are invited to write poems on one of the school’s values (‘Lead’ for Cedars, ‘Inspire’ for Sidmouth and ‘Make a Difference’ for Palmer). Entries are due by March 29th, and we are looking forward to reading everyone’s submissions!
