Kendrick Parents' Society (KPS)

KPS Spring Raffle 2019

Raffle tickets will be on sale from 4th March with the draw taking place on 4th April 2019.

This year, proceeds from the Spring Raffle will be used to buy two trolleys each containing 16 Chromebooks, for use across the school, in all year groups, to enhance the learning experience. In addition to this, we will also contribute to the upgrade of sound, lighting and staging in the main hall, used for assemblies, house events, speech days, concerts and other events. This upgrade will benefit all students, in all years, on a daily basis.

The KPS Spring Raffle was launched at the start of the month. Sales and donations currently stand at nearly 37% of the target of £15,000. A KPS Raffle Update Parentmail will be sent out early next week, which will provide more details and graphs of the top 5 forms, so do look out for this!

We have seen some very generous donations and tickets sales from some families, so thank you very much for your fantastic support, however we are still some way from reaching the £15,000 required to buy all the much needed equipment and facilities requested by the school. Please remember, these will benefit all students in all years, so it would be great to see all families getting involved. In order to optimise sales and donations, the raffle has been extended until Monday 1st April, so there is still time if you haven’t yet bought tickets or donated.

Remember there is a fantastic selection of prizes, suitable for both adults and children, with a value of over £1,500. Also, if you wish to give a donation, cheques or cash can be returned in the envelopes provided or this can be done via BTMyDonate through the KPS section in the school website or directly at https://mydonate.bt.com/events/kpsraffle.

This year, we are holding two folding events to get all the stubs folded and into the raffle drum, and would be delighted if you could come and help.

  • Tuesday 26th March: at school in SC2 from 6.30pm (refreshments will be provided). Parking is permitted at the school for this meeting.
  • Wednesday 3rd April: Coffee and folding at the Reading Tesco cafe (King’s Meadow / Napier Road) at 10am on Wednesday 3rd April.

As mentioned previously, the Raffle draw will be on Thursday 4th April during the Spring Concert. If you are able to attend this wonderful annual school event, you may be lucky enough to leave with a raffle prize!

Hopefully we can count on you all to make Kendrick’s biggest fundraising event of the school year a great success!
