Cayley Mathematical Olympiad
The Cayley Mathematical Olympiad is a follow-on round to the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. It is a 2-hour Challenge consisting of six problems requiring full written solutions.
The questions featured in the Cayley Olympiad cover a range of mathematical topics and require you to apply your understanding of different areas of mathematics.
I enjoy these types of questions, because at first glance, they seem difficult and unsolvable, but once you start using different strategies to try to get the answer, the question slowly unravels, and the answer is soon made more obvious than before. Often, it takes many tries to get the question right, but when you do, it gives you an immense sense of achievement.
