Anaya played in the National Cup event on the weekend in the Under 15 Girls category.  This is a prestigious and invitational event with the top 10 girls in England selected.

Anaya was seeded 5 in the tournament but had an amazing weekend.

“Patel, who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, broke the competition wide open in the first round of the day as she ended the perfect record of top seed Wong. The Berkshire player three times came from a set down before rocking through the decider 11-2.”

After this this match Anaya went on to win her remaining 3 matches with a 4-0 scoreline to a well-earned Bronze medal. Anaya still has another year in the age group and hoping for Gold next year.

Anaya is currently ranked No 5 in England in U15 and ranked 14 now in under 18’s in England has also been invited to the National Cadet and Junior championships in April in Wolverhampton
