Experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers welcome to apply

2 positions available - Full Time and up to 0.6

for September 2019

Two well qualified and enthusiastic teachers of Biology are required at this very successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in the centre of Reading. Kendrick School is a centre of academic excellence with a track record of high performance and achievement. In September 2020, the school is expanding and the Year 7 intake will increase by 32 students. This is an exciting time to be joining the school with opportunities for professional development within the department and the school as a whole. Biology is a thriving subject at Kendrick School with a very high uptake at A Level and many students go on to study Biology related subjects at University.

The successful applicants need to be able to teach Biology throughout the school including A Level and Science at KS3 and the ability to teach a second discipline of Science would be an advantage.

These positions would suit both more experienced teachers and recently qualified teachers who are able to impart passion and enthusiasm for the subject to highly motivated, creative and engaging students. Kendrick School has an excellent track record of developing NQTs and the successful candidate would be joining a supportive and experienced department.

An application form and pack can be downloaded from the school website or obtained by emailing aemberson@kendrick.reading.sch.uk. Visits to the school are welcome.
