Required for September 2024, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Subject Leader of Geography. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with energy and vision to join a successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in Reading. This position would suit an experienced subject leader or a teacher ready to take on a key departmental leadership position and looking to develop their career in a unique and high achieving school.  We are looking for someone who is inspirational, creative and forward thinking to develop the vision for Geography, both within and beyond the classroom. Applicants need to be able to teach Geography at KS3, GCSE and A Level.

Geography is a popular subject which enjoys a high profile within the school with large numbers of students choosing to continue their studies at GCSE and A Level.  We are delighted with the number of students who go on to study geography related degrees who have clearly been inspired by our teaching and the course we study.

BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER (FOR SEPTEMBER 2024)

Required for September 2024, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Business and Economics Teacher at this successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in Reading.  Graded ‘Outstanding’ in its recent OFSTED inspection in November 2022, Kendrick School is a centre of academic excellence with a track record of high performance and achievement. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and well-qualified Business and Economics Teacher. Applicants need to be able to teach Business at GCSE and have the ability, or willingness to learn, to teach Economics at A Level.

The position would suit either an experienced practitioner or an early careers teacher, and somebody who is excited to develop and grow within an established and successful department. The department has an array of existing lesson resources, including videos, articles and activities, for the successful candidate to use and develop as part of their teaching.

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate passion for their subject, an awareness for the dynamic nature of Business and Economics, enthusiasm and a commitment to the values of Kendrick School with empathy and understanding of students’ learning needs.
